Want to know more about Carrigeen, Dingle, Co Kerry in Ireland

The proper name for the house is Carrigeen, It is situated in a very small hamlet called Ballyferriter, which itself is situated in West Kerry. Ballyferriter is however not so small because it supports three bars, a hotel, a small shop and a little museum.  It is about 5 miles west of Dingle.

Between the house and the Atlantic there are probably around 100 houses, so we as far west in Europe as one can go. But  not actually out of it and not quite in America. So we are in Europe but no so near America - a perfect balance in today's world.

There is no protection from the weather coming in from the Atlantic and you can tell the weather forecast for the next hour or so by just looking out the window. That means that apart from packing bikini's and sunglasses you might want to put in a rain mac & wind breaker.

The house has most amenities and facilities that any person would want - or at least we think so.  This maybe more a reflection of our lives, frightening as that might be. We have enough wine glasses to host an army's wine tasting, a fully stocked kitchen to feed them afterwards. satellite broadband to enable them to check their emails and satellite TV to watch every conceivable programme they'd want.
