Local Restaurants to Carrigeen, Ballyferriter - places we have tried

A new list for the Dingle Peninsula

Grey's Lane Bistro
In the centre of Dingle this family run business is worth considering. We have been a couple of times. It has a comfortable dining room, very friendly service and very passable food. Gets busy in the season so booking might be needed. January 2017

The Blue Zone Jazz and Pizza
Again in the centre of Dingle. We have had decent pizza at lunchtime. Funky dining room. Closed Wednesdays. No real web presence. January 2017

Chart House Restaurant
Guess where.  An award winning place, quite high-end with mains around €30 but has an excellent early evening menu - three courses for €32 January 2017

Lord Baker's Seafood Restaurant and Gastro Pub
You guessed. We have eaten twice at this very popular place in what is claimed to be Dingle's oldest pub. Comfortable place to be and comfortable is a decent description of the food. Closed Thursdays. January 2017.

We have had both lunch and an evening meal in Tigh an T-Saorsaigh or what non native Irish speakers might like to call Sears Pub. Excellent soup and a sandwich as well as good evening meals in what is the nearest pub to the house.

Memories from La Rochelle

Viviers
Chemin de la Pree de Sion, Front de Mer, Esnandes
On the clif top, only open May to September - if you like moules then excellent - if you don't - stay away
Le Cafe de la Mer
Port du Plumb, Lauzieres
Good seafood and very good salads. Views over the bay to wards Il de Re, from this clif top cafe.
La Cuisine de Jules
In La Rochelle at 5 rue Thiers which is by the market. www.lacuisnedejules.com Very good food - €28 evening menu - fantastic. Only draw back is the wines are expensive.
